Starting your day with a hearty breakfast is essential. Without the energy to kickstart your day, your body isn't able to perform as you would wish it would. In the heart of Bangkok in between the business district of Sathorn, is a standalone cafe that architecturally breathes the warmth of the morning sun into the cafe, making your plate of breakfast sunny with a chance of sunshine.

(Not just) another cup serves a variety of breakfast to dinner menus consisted of, soups, salads, wraps, sandwiches, acai bowls, cold pressed juice, smoothies, and other menus suitable for breakfast.

The interior

Taking inspiration from Scandinavian interior design where simplicity, minimalism and functionality rules all, the restaurant is cleanly kept and organized. Only the bare necessities are used to keep the place decorated. Even the plates and utensils are monochromatic and harmonious to the atmosphere.

The first floor is where the counter and the bakery is located. Seats are available, but most are large tables for 4 or more people.

The bakery lit with Fritz Hansen lights showcase today's creations from the bakery. The desserts and breads are not too sweet making it perfect with a cup of coffee or tea.

There is also a wider second floor available with lots of seats ready to be filled. With these ceiling to floor windows bringing in sunlight, makes you want to bring a book to read with a pot of coffee on the other hand.

The menu

We ordered a total of 5 menus to taste.
First we selected the house recommended :
"Mexican Breakfast" which is consisted of sunny side up, grilled cheese tortilla, guacamole, refried Pinto beans, grilled chicken. The Mexican tastes are prominent on the pinto beans and grilled chicken from all the spices they added. Definitely a filling breakfast for one person.

Butternut Squash Soup which is made from butternut squash, pumpkin, capsicum, sprinkle with bacon bits and croutons. Tasted healthy yet creamy, without the surge of full cream in your mouth with most soups, they kept the vegetable taste as the main objective.

Grilled Halloumi Salad with mixed green, spinach, walnut, pomegranate, orange, dried cranberry, mint, orange dressing. Fresh taste with the orange dressing is not my cup of tea as I personally prefer dressings that stay away from fruit based creations, but the Halloumi made up for the sauce. Halloumi paired with the greens were delicious, especially as the cheese was already salty to taste.

As for drinks, we selected Watermelon cooler, which is a Cold pressed watermelon juice, with lime, and mint. Extremely refreshing, especially after a good workout.

Passion fruit and mango pudding. Not sweet, and way too sour. Never ordering this menu again.
