Pyramid of the sun and the moon

Years ago I was on holiday in the country of Mexico, although it was only for a few days I had the opportunity to visit magical places and immortalize them in images, what I liked most about that trip was visiting the city of Teotihuacan and the archaeological architecture that makes it one of the most visited tourist attractions in Mexico.

I remember when I was planning the trip to my country Venezuela, when I found out that we would visit the pyramids of the sun and the moon, I started jumping with excitement and lasted about 10 minutes without stopping, I could not believe I would be in the pyramids, because of the ancient architecture and archeology the pyramids are my fascination, I wish someday to visit the ones in Egypt.

To get to the pyramids of Teotihuacan we made a trip of several hours from Mexico City and then you walk along the path to the sturdy rocks, you can see them from far away and it is good to contemplate slowly, so much majesty, when you arrive you realize that there is a well-defined line in the angles of the pyramids, you can touch each block and there is a wonderful view.

They are considered to have been built between 1 and 100 AD. They remain a mystery until recently discovered secret doors leading to the base of the pyramid, when I went this area was undergoing maintenance and was not available to tourists, so I could not get underneath but went upwards.

The pyramids are shrouded in deep symbolism, to give you an idea the pyramid of the sun has 238 steps or stairs that relate to the ages of the sun.

I was very excited to get to the top, especially to make a wish, ha, ha, ha, ha there are many popular legends about this place, it is said that if you stand in the center and make a wish it will come true. Something curious is that that day, after taking breaks because there was a relentless sun and trying to place myself in the center, I don't know if I did it, because once you get to the top everything is flat. 😱

The top of the Pyramid is flat, and one tries to find the center and among so many people it is hard to find it, I remember that there was a group of foreign people by their features, I guess they were from Asia and they were kneeling pointing to a little hole in the floor, they all put their fingers there, and gave no space or opportunity for the others, I wanted to stand and make my wish, but I was ashamed to ask their permission.

In the end, I did, but not in the hole, 😆 maybe that's why the wish is still in process. 😜

Being up there is so much silence that it provoked me to move away from people and sit for a few minutes to meditate through contemplation. As an anecdote, at that time there was a widespread virus in Latin America called Chikungunya, it was a small pandemic, and the pains were horrible in the muscles and joints like arthritis, apart from the fever, one of the people on the trip was infected and without knowing it, the symptoms appeared while he was there, but he did not want to miss out on seeing these pyramids.

So he went up as he could, I told him about the desire and he was at the top shouting 😂🤣 Chikungunya out 😂🤣.

I want to go back and fly in a hot air balloon that leaves at dawn from these pyramids, if you go to Mexico you must go to this place.
