The architectural composition was opened in 1967. The sculpture is made of wrought aluminum, and its total height is 14 meters. The monument is visible from different places of Alexander Boulevard.

Once on the pedestal was the inscription: "power to the Soviets, peace to the Nations", but it didn't survive.

Aurora is depicted as a Soviet Komsomol member with a rifle on his shoulders and in a soldier's overcoat. And in her hand she holds a star, which is considered a symbol of faith in the bright future of the country.

Architect Eugene Lashuk and sculptor Ivan Magun gave his creation a gift to the city. And the prototype of our Aurora was the usual Krasnodar Taisiya Gordienko, which the sculptors accidentally met on the bus.
