Hi friends last Sunday I went out with other people with an environmental guide specialized in excursions in the middle of nature.

Basically we had to arrive at a sanctuary located near Asiago, a famous tourist resort in the province of Vicenza that most probably many of you know.

In the photos above I have left a little the very particular story of this ancient sanctuary built by a hermit who lived in these areas and who in 1800 decided to build this temple which you can unfortunately in the years of the great war was destroyed.

We practically started from this point with our hike and went to see this passage that suddenly opens up like a sort of Canyon between the stone walls.

The guide explained to me that in reality these cracks that had formed in the middle of the mountain had over time become real roads where timber traders passed, but also shepherds who brought their flocks to graze in the mountain pastures.

Do you think that I have been several times on vacation in these parts and I did not even know of the existence of this place, sometimes we do not even know the places we frequent.

Of course, coming and walking here is really good because inside the mountain it is very cool and therefore you can save yourself from the heat of the plain.

I recommend that when you come here try to come equipped with suitable shoes because unfortunately some of the people I was accompanying had sandals and they are very dangerous especially in these areas where the paths are all made of small stones.
