Dear friends, I have to tell you that Tuscany is one of the regions of Italy that I love the most, because every city always has something different, something special.

Just yesterday I took a tour of Lucca, an important city on the Serchio river, full of churches, squares and important museums.

but how beautiful is this square with all these nice restaurants overlooking the amphitheatre square.

but also its main church the cathedral is really beautiful with its very distinctive façade, but inside it is even more beautiful I couldn't go in because there was a religious function and I didn't want to disturb the faithful.

but the most beautiful thing you can do when you come here is to climb the Guinigi tower where you have a beautiful view of Lucca, try to imagine going back in time who knows how many towers were here!

I was surprised by all these people who finally after this bad pandemic came back to live in this city!!!

this is the tower where I climbed seen from below, really impressive, it is 45 metres high.

You can see a nice view but there are 231 steps to climb, which is a lot of work!

but how beautiful is the church of San Michele in foro, built on this stone elevation, where the Roman Forum, i.e. the centre of the city, once stood in Roman times.

I hope you enjoyed this very quick tour of the city of Lucca that I gave you yesterday, it is definitely not a city to be missed in Tuscany.
