On 10 May 2021 I was lucky enough to visit the exhibition Italy in architecture with bricks by the artist Luca Petraglia, one of the greatest artists in this environment, in the rooms of Palazzo Rasponi in Piazza Kennedy in Ravenna.
The artist is very young because he was born in 1991 and since he was a child he had a passion for the construction and realization of works entirely built with the famous bricks.
So he decided to create this exhibition representing the major monuments of Ravenna but not only for example below we have the basilica of Santa Croce in Florence made with more than 10,000 bricks.
Of course the artist if helped by a 3D printer For the realization of these bricks for which it is his design of these works of art and also the realization.
Above you can see the representation of the Basilica of San Vitale in Ravenna, a point of interest that many tourists will surely know.
Even on the other side you can see the interior Digli a Basilica itself meticulously represented by the artist.
Instead, above the artist created Dante's tomb, in fact at that time he was remembering the death of the great poet.
Dante has always been linked to Ravenna and his tomb is found here
Above you can also see a beautiful representation of the famous Bridge of Sighs in Venice, a bridge that is certainly visited and photographed by millions of tourists from all over the world.
While the artist also wanted to pay homage to Palazzo Rasponi in Ravenna and this is his representation with bricks.
finally the work that struck me most of all and that I put as the cover of this article was certainly Giotto's bell tower in Florence, a place to which I am connected and when I understand in Florence I always make a visit.
I hope that this artist in the near future will be able to do these types of exhibitions also because I am a lover of lego bricks, However I hope to have brought you virtually on this visit and that this has pleased you.
