Hello everyone today I would like to make this post about what I did during my Easter holidays that I spent with my friend Luciano who lives in the province of Lecco and who led me to the discovery of this strange ghost town called Consonno.

It's a very popular destination, especially with young people who come here to take lots of photos, although to tell the truth I don't find it that special.

We must, however, understand the history of this place because in reality there was a beautiful village here, and one day Count Mario Bagno arrived and decided to create this city of toys, a sort of Italian Las Vegas, and so with the complicity of the municipal administration began work on the creation of this minaret that you have seen in the photo, but also a park and a super hotel, in short, a real amusement park.

But like every work of man who wants to destroy nature, it is nature that destroys these works. In fact, in 1970 a series of landslides began to interrupt the access road to this Las Vegas, so over time tourists abandoned this place and although the Count tried to create a home for the elderly here, in the end this place was finally abandoned.

In the end these skeletons of this place remained and it was nicknamed the ghost town and as you can see it has been vandalised in every part of it, and over time attempts were made to sell it but every auction fell through, although it seems that there is now a buyer who intends to kill this rubbish.

Over the years, the location has also been used to shoot music videos and films, such as the film Figli di Annibale, which came out in 1998, or commercial clips for BMW, although I hope it will be restored, because, as I have noticed, a lot of people come here and it is very dangerous because it is all unsafe.

I hope you found this post of mine interesting enough, I wanted to bring something different this time to show that in Italy there are also bad things that should be destroyed.
