Hello everyone finally after a few days that I had stayed in Cefalù I moved to Palermo to accompany these people to visit this beautiful city and for me it was my first time in these cities and my expectations were not disappointed.
Our first stop was the cathedral of Palermo, a beautiful Norman and Arab-influenced building that towers imposingly in the square. I was honestly very impressed by its style and we can truly call it one of the most beautiful in Italy that I have seen.
While my other colleague was taking people elsewhere, I took a little break with some friends of mine who live nearby and who came to visit me.
They wanted to take me to Pasticceria Cappello, a historic pastry shop in Palermo, where they let me taste the delicacies of Sicilian pastry, which is world famous.
Everything was really very good, then I said goodbye to them also because there are so many places to try here in Palermo.
We then headed to Villa Bonanno, which would eventually be the area where the royal palace is located.
So it would be a public garden of Palermo, or rather the city's park, precisely because it is also a stone's throw from the cathedral.
It is a very peaceful and well-kept place, I must tell you, and this also surprised me a little, there is a lot of Arab influence in this park as well because there are also exotic species of plants.
In the centre of this park there is also a small archaeological area where some remains of the Punic-Roman city and some beautiful mosaics are preserved, in the end I can say that there is almost an African atmosphere here, with these palm trees, there is also a marble bust in the distance of the mayor of the city Bonanno.
I hope you enjoyed these photos and that you enjoyed the story
