Spello is a beautiful village in the province of Perugia in Umbria a village that has been part of the most beautiful villages in Italy for some time but above all a village that can be visited in one day and that I recommend precisely because it respects all the characteristics of the typical Italian village.
Spello is a village that can be visited in any season of the year but I recommend it especially in spring when floral arrangements give the best show. In fact, there are tourists who go here just to see this floral show.
I recommend the visit starting from the lowest part of the village where you can admire the still well preserved Roman walls.
But in addition to seeing the splendid church of Santa Maria Maggiore, the beautiful frescoes by Pinturicchio The beauty of this village and popes immerse yourself in discovering these silent and romantic alleys.
When I go to these places that I really like very much I would like to take a home here precisely because here the daily pace is much slower and you definitely live a Greater quality of life even if in some cases it seems to live out of the world.
Here to move around the village you have to go on foot and even this thing from my point of view puts you more in contact with people because you surely meet someone and say 4 words unlike the cities where we live that moving by car you do not look not even in the face of the neighbor.
However, what really struck me about this village is the care of the houses you can really see that there is a work underneath to enhance the place.
this one that I photographed above I did not quite understand what it is most likely is a sculpture made by some local artist.
What I have been able to understand is that those who live here take care with love of the place where they live precisely because they care about its enhancement because they realize that they live in a place that has years of history and therefore must preserve for the future.
I hope you enjoyed these photos I tried to take as many as possible just to take you virtually on this walk in this beautiful village that I hope you will soon be able to visit.
