Here's my share of Beautiful Sunday initiated by @ace108
I remember last 2017. I had to accompany my grandpa to Vigan to go to a wake of a relative. He hired a driver and we traveled from Baguio. It was a very long drive going there.

Before we went there we stoppped by at San Fernando to eat breakfast at Mcdonalds, and while waiting I noticed that my grandpas shoes were switched he was wearing his right shoe on his left foot and left shoe on his right foot. I felt bad because he's actually completely blind on his left eye and can only see a pin hole in his right. I told him about it and he fixed it.

When we arrived at our destination, we visited his friend first. I remember my grandpa said that he used to visit this place often before and she has been his friend ever since. She died actually died lately like about a year ago. May her soul rest in peace

I just remember that it was so nice to see and listen to them catch up and reminisce

They served this to us while they were talking. I'm not sure what it was but it was fatty and it was delicious.

After visiting, we drove of the wake and spent around 1-2 hours condoling with the family. Here's a photo of the place where the wake was held.

After that my grandpa went to his friend again and while they were talking me and the driver decided to go to Calle Crisologo. They said that its the most beautiful street in the Philippines because you can see how they preserved even after all the wars that happened.

While walking around the place, it just amazing to look at the architecture of it. It made me wonder how did they preserve the beautiful structures in this place. There's only one drawback when we went here, it was so hot to stay under the sun.

One thing that you would see here are the Kalesa's. This is a horse-drawn calash used for transportation.

Before going back to Baguio we made a stopover to eat dinner at Max's Restaurant located at San Fernando La Union. My grandpa just loves his beer.

We actually got Pork belly from our trip from Ilocos. This is one of their specialties there. They call it Bagnet. Bagnet is a deep fried crispy pork belly dish

I watched my mom prepare it and she cut the block into small pieces first and then

She fried it in the pan without putting seasoning because she said it's already salted.

This is the outcome. I love eating Bagnet, just looking at it will make you imagine how crunchy it is when you take a bite. I actually got hungry after looking at the photos haha.
