Finally the Big Ben is uncovered
Have you ever heard that sometimes when you don't plan something it is when the most exciting things happen. Well that's what happened to me in this day.
Here I am out to go and say hello to my colleagues from my previous job, when I remember that from there to this are it is just a quick and short walk. So I have decided to walk that way and I had the best surprise ever. Half of the Big Ben was finally uncovered and could be seen.
I have totally missed the date, otherwise I would have planned to go there earlier. I have missed this beauty.
So you know I had to get the camera out and capture it once again. It have been at least a couple of years to get this refurbishment done, and it is still going.
It is very difficult to create images of the Big Ben that haven't been captured before. You guys know that I like to try and give my personal touch, show a different point of view. And that's what I have tried with the previous images. Also when it comes to editing I wanted to give it a more of a old school photos. The day was very nice and the warm tones of the sunset inspired me to go down this route.
Look how majestic and gorgeous the Big Ben look down from Trafalgar Square, another image that I Love the out come and that it was also not planned, this one was captured already when I was on my way home.
A must visit
If you are visiting London definitely this area is a must visit. Specially now that the Big Ben is out again.
I have to admit that it is a very crowed area and it is always busy. Not only because it is one of the most popular touristic areas in London but it is also a very busy working are.
So if you are planning to visit this are know that you will get to see many of the most famous landmarks in London, but get prepared to see people and cars all over the place.
In the end it will be worth it.
And also remember that next time you are around, just behind the Big Ben you have the Houses of the Parliament, think that while you are there all the bad decisions that are being made to rule this country might be happening at the same exact time.
