Nice but overrated
The more I go around trying and visiting new places to have a coffee, the more places I discover that are just over charging for something that is served everywhere.
I have been to more than one Balans Soho Society and I don't mind the place, but I have to say that the main reason I don't go to this place more often is the fact that I find it is overpriced for no special reason.
Not my first visit
I have been here more than once and every time I am in I always want to start creating a candle like this at home.
It is not a bad place but they don't offer me anything special or different from other places but they charge more. I feel like if you are going to do that at least offer me something special and different.
But I haven't been in one for a while so I have decided to give it a go and grab a coffee on the Balans Soho Society in the Westfield, Stratford.
Most likely to not visit again, for a while
Unfortunately and as per usual the visit was quite underwhelming.
The place looks great and the atmosphere is good, just not good enough to worth the extra they charge.
I have had food in this place a couple of times, but I can't give you a great review about it, because the times I did had food here I was a little bit too drunk and this was the only place open late that was serving any food. So I can't talk much about that.
Here Stratford they have a nice big sitting area outside that during the summer it is quite nice, if you don't mind all the people walking in the shopping centre.
I like the decoration and the details of the place but I got a really bad table where I couldn't see much. But at least I got a view to the outside.
I was thinking and since I have been giving you my view on the prices I might be sharing that here with you as well, so you are 100% I am not lying about it. what do you say? That is something you would like me to share in this posts?
I have ordered a latte and the coffee was very nice. What I have to say is that we need to ban this sugar cubes. Can anyone please give me one good reason for any place to use this, no? I thought so, there is no good reason and they are just annoying.
In general, I would not recommend you to go to Balans, where there is a Balans there are so many other similar places around that charge you less and offer you the same. So unless, you want to "look fancy" (that you really don't have to), I would say, go to the other places.
Again, it is not a bad place, I just think it is a little bit too expensive. I have enjoyed my coffee and the time I have spent there was also very pleasant.
