A Village Filled with Art - Sant'Angelo - Il Paese delle Fiabe, Italy

Hello friends. During our trip to the Lazio region we had the opportunity to stroll through the village of Sant'Angelo di Roccalvecce. This place is called Sant'Angelo - Il Paese delle Fiabe (The Fairy Tale Village). This small town has recently gained fame thanks to a project involving talented artists from all over the world. Through this project interesting paintings were created on the village walls.

These paintings are based on various fairy tales and the facades of old houses have been transformed into bright, fairy-tale illustrations, looking like the pages of fairy tale books. It looks very beautiful. We had the chance to examine some of the houses. We were heading to another city for a trip to the lake, so we didn’t have enough time to see all the houses. We were a bit sad that we didn’t spend more time there.

We saw a wonderful painting of Peter Pan. And there was a ladder. This was a ladder used by the artist to draw their project. How interesting, I didn’t expect to encounter something like this in the small towns of Lazio. We came here to relax at Lake Bolsena and the town of Sant'Angelo wasn’t very far from this lake.

We also saw the Little Match Girl. By the way there were signs along the street that you could follow to see where each fairy tale was located. Everywhere you turned there was beauty. Next to the windmills were Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.

Sant'Angelo di Roccalvecce village seems to be the most interesting part of our trip to Lazio. Aladdin and Jasmine were also very beautiful. If you need Instagram photos, you should definitely come here; there are such beautiful backgrounds. We were able to examine these beautiful paintings all along the street.

We also saw Hansel and Gretel and Pocahontas. The paintings were signed, so we could see the artist's name. I'm very happy we came here; it's worth it even if just for 5 minutes. If you're vacationing anywhere in the Lazio region, be sure to visit Sant'Angelo - Il Paese delle Fiabe village. There are signs indicating which house is adorned with which motifs. It's very interesting. Oh friends, we really felt like we were in a fairy tale.

The house with The Little Mermaid was also magnificent. Sant'Angelo di Roccalvecce village is located in the mountains near Lake Bolsena in the Lazio region. But in short, every house is decorated based on fairy tales. It's wonderful here, truly a fairy tale land.

I also loved the Alice in Wonderland house.

Overall each house is decorated according to its owner's taste. Each homeowner has decorated their house based on a fairy tale. I was truly amazed throughout the tour.
