2026 is already here and I still have hundreds of 2025 photos and stories sitting unpublished. This is my very first (and very overdue) post of the new year.

Quick life update from the last couple of weeks — buckle up, it’s a mess:
My 13-year-old eldest son flew in for the winter holidays — 20 sunny days in Thailand.
I went full “adventure dad” mode: long drives, hidden beaches, night markets, waterfalls… every day was magic for the kids and completely exhausting for me.
Every evening I’d think: “Okay, now I’ll sit down and write something proper” → immediately fell asleep on the couch.

Then the universe said “cute, but let’s make it harder”.
Younger son did an Olympic-level fall → broken leg.
Difficulty level instantly jumped from “challenging” to “survival mode ×3”.

Hospitals, X-rays, waiting forever for the swelling to go down, casting, strict painkiller schedule, teaching crutch-walking, keeping the older one entertained while the little one is mostly stuck at home or in the car…
I felt like I was being pulled in five different directions at the same time. Physically and emotionally — zero percent battery left.

Today I literally forced myself to open the laptop and at least write this messy little update.
The photos below are the most basic ones — quick snaps from an old phone.
No filters, no editing, zero artistic value. Just proof that we’re still alive 😅

Of course I took tons of proper pictures with my real camera…
but right now even launching Lightroom feels like an impossible mission.
As soon as life calms down a little bit (please let it happen soon), I’ll try to get back to regular posting — even if it’s short and simple at first.

May your holidays never include emergency rooms, plaster casts and orthopedic waiting lists.
