Paul is the person who wrote many epistles in the Bible. His hometown is Tarsus, so today, when you come to Tarsus, you see a lot of antiquities and buildings to commemorate this great man called Paul.

Tarsus also used to be an important city for trading because of its closeness to the Mediterranean Sea.

Paul's Memorial Church

There is a church in the city center called Paul's Memorial church.

On the outside, the church looks very plain.

It has a Greek Orthodox church design.

It has natural arches and a little dome shape building in the front.

According to tradition, this church building date goes all the way to 1102.

Today, what we see in the final present structure that was rebuilt in 1862.

So this church building had been around for quite a long time to remember Paul.

While the outside does not look very impressive, but the inside is so beautiful.

Here, you see that they put a picture of Paul in the front of the church podium.

Newlyweds come here to take their wedding photos

The church inside is so beautifully designed that newlyweds come here for their wedding momentos.

While we were visiting this church, we were surprised by a newlywed couple coming in for their photos.

The family was so happy to see us witnessing their marriage vows to each other.

It was a classic moment of encounter!

Be sure to come and visit Paul's memorial church!
