Waterfall Park
The waterfall park is located at the outskirt of the northern city of Tarsus.
Not too many tourists are aware of this great park.
This is actually one of the most popular local park in Tarsus.
The local people love to come to this place.
We spent a morning in this park. It was quite refreshing.
The park will lead you to a little creek that takes you to the waterfall area.
This is called the Berdan creek.
This park is very clean and well taken care of by the government.
You can cross the bridge that takes you to the other side to watch the waterfall.
As you walk closer, you will hear the sound of the big waterfall at the end.
There are actually quite a few waterfalls there!
Look how quiet the water is at the top of the fall.
From there, you also get a very good view of the rushing water coming down from the quiet Tarsus river here.
Actually, the water here comes from the Taurus mountains to the quiet Tarsus river.
This is a very nice quiet park.
A perfect place for silence and meditation in the morning.
There was hardly anyone here when we took our relaxing stroll here this morning.
We met this one local family and had a good chat with them to get to know the locals better. They often come here for their weekly picnic.
Be sure to find a place for yourself and take a morning break here where there is hardly any people.
You almost feel like you have the whole park to yourself!
And far away, you hear the waterfall sounds too.
Enjoy,
Rosa
