Silifke Castle
The Silfike Castle is the landmark of Silifke.
When we arrived at the city, the locals recommended that we go there for a visit. So as a result, we extended our stay in Silifke.
How To get to Silfike Kelesi
The Silifke Castle is located in the Pazarkaşı Mahallesi area of the west side of Silfike town center.
To the south side, you see the Goksu River.
As you drive along the highway D-715, you will see a Silifke castle sitting on top of the hill on your right.
As you can see, this castle dominates the entire plain of Silfike valley and even the south side of Goksu valley.
The castle sits at an altitude of 160 metres above seal level.
It stands out in an extraordinary way. You can't miss it.
You then make an exit into the main street there.
There is a sign that points you to the hill leading up to the Castle.

From this high altitude in the castle hill top, look how beautiful the scenery.
You see the entire plain of Silifke town.
Silfike was actually an important city in the antique world and dates back to Roman times.
This city has survived down through the centuries.
Walls of the Silfike Castle
This castle is actually built in the Medieval times.
You can tell that the entire castle is built in an oval shape plan.
When you look closely, it actually has Byzantine architecture there.
Part of the walls are damaged and broken.
You can also take a walk around the castle park.
