Montreux Jazz Festival 2018 - unbelievable line-up

When I went to the official Montreux Jazz Festival website theLine-up for this year's festival I was really amazed, which greats of music history are back at the start.

In 2015 I was allowed to experience the beautiful city for the first time professionally in Montreux for the 49th JazzFestival and also visit a few concerts, but regarding what kind of great artists perform there this year, it was a great time at that time, but musically this year what is offered.

Line Up 2018 - The concerts you shouldn't miss

ALOE BLACC on June 30 at the Stravinski Auditorium

In recent years Aloe has already played at the festival, but in one of the smaller clubs. For the first time Aloe is allowed on the big stage, that's Amazing. Well-known songs like I Need a Dollar and Wake me Up are one of his best known songs and I'm sure the concert will sell out soon.

Rag'n'Bone Man - July 01 top act at the Stravinski Auditorium

The song Human was Rory Graham's breakthrough in the music world in 2016. His official video on Youtube already has over 500 million views. With Skin he set another worldwide hit and the song runs up and down on the radio.

Iggy Pop - July 3rd Headliner - Great Artist!

Probably a very well known artist. With Passenger I got in contact with Iggy for the first time and can say that the concert on July 3rd in Montreux will probably be a unique experience!

Deep Purple - At home in Montreux since the beginning! Concert on July 4th also at Stravinski Auditorium

I guess everybody knows Smoke on the Water. This song was composed after the Deep Purple guys rented the recording studio the Rolling Stones in 1971. Mr Frank Zappa was in the Casino Montreux for a performance and during the show a guest shot a flare gun in the hall and the casino burned down. Deep Purple took it on and composed a song about what happened. If you listen to the song more closely, you'll recognize the lyric in the song ;-)

Billy Idol and the Hollywood Vampires - July 05th! SAVE THE DATE

A day can't end better than with Johnny Depp, Joe Perry and the old HardcoreRocker Alice Cooper! Before Billy Idol enters the stage and will rock the stage with hits like Dancing with Myself and Eyes Without A Face.

Best music experience for 2 weeks! Montreux Jazz Festival 2018

Who ever heard of Jamiroquai, Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age, can look forward to cool concerts.

The festival takes place from 29 June - 14 July in Montreux, Switzerland and also offers a magnificent setting with Lake Geneva.
Not only the greats of the music industry are represented there this year, there are many small clubs with great musicians that are also worth seeing.
I will try to attend one or two concerts there this year. The Hollywood Vampires have done it to me in any case and Aloe Blacc is with his jazzed music style a very good sound beside the biggest rock iconics.
