Hello Hiveans/Hivers. I hope everyone is well and doing great. Before we find out the number of Islands (or should I say 'Islets') of the Philippines' Hundred Islands, let us just run through a bit of information about the Hundred Islands and let me share my past tours/experiences on it.

But when did the Hundred Islands discovered? and when did it became a National Park?
It is believed that it was 2 million years ago that the Islands was formed [c];
But on January 18, 1940, the Presidential Proclamation No. 667(Hundred Islands National Park), signed by President Manuel L. Quezon, makes it a National Park with an area of 16.76 square kilometers [c];
Additionaly, on June 22, 1962, under The Republic Act No. 3655, the Hundred Islands Conservation and Development Authority (HICDA) was formed to manage the HINP [c];
And on June 21, 2005, under the *Executive Order No. 436, *signed by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, the management of the whole Hundred islands National Park, including all activities, was passed on the local government of Alaminos, Pangasinan [c].

I have been at Hundred Islands for two times:
1.) in 2010, College Field Trip
2.) in 2017, Family Trip
To be honest, I can barely remember something the first time I have been on the Hundred Islands. It was more than 10 years ago. I was still at my 2nd year on college at that time, all I can share are the photos that I uploaded from my Facebook. But one thing is for sure:
I was really amazed and excited at that time.
Of course, I have seen photos of it before the Trip but I can't help to be amazed the moment I saw it with my own eyes. Below are some of the photos that I took during our 2010 College Field Trip :
The 'mushroom'-like shaped Islands was formed because of the eroding action of the ocean waves. [c].

7 years later, I came back to this beautiful place. This time instead of my classmates and schoolmates, it was my family and friends that I have company with.
As usual the place is still as amazing as before. The 'mushroom'-like Islands. The breeze of the ocean winds. We have a nice weather, perfect for a dip in a beach. We have done island hopping, little bit of trekking, swimming(most of the time).
My most unforgettable experience is when we do kayaking. Together with my cousin, brothers and friends, we kayak from one Island to another Island. We came back from the previous Island where we came just by kayak. We row along and against the waves. Most of the times the waves were just mild, but there were also strong waves, we thought our kayaks will turn over, luckily it did not. After an hour of rowing, I was really exhausted, I can't lift my arms. It was really fun.

Now to answer our question:
IF:

Is it less than a hundred? Is is more than a hundred?
or exactly a hundred?
Here is what the Wikipedia says:

There we go, we've got 2 answers. 124 at Low Tide and 123 at High Tide. π
