From my home to our destination, it is not very far, so I decided to walk and on the way I met a demonstration of the national guard where we can see old war cars and the transport they used before. It also photographs old buildings in the area. Before entering the park you have a viewpoint where you can appreciate the 25th of April bridge and a bit of the city of Lisbon. We can also appreciate the palace das necessidades, they do not allow free entrance, but, nevertheless, you can manage to photograph the part of the front that has a very nice and preserved architecture.

Desde mi hogar hasta nuestro destino, no es muy lejano, así que decidí caminar y en el camino me encontré con una demostración de la guardia nacional donde podemos ver antiguos autos de guerra y el transporte que utilizaban antes. También fotografía antiguos edificios de la zona. Antes de entrar al parque tienes un mirador donde puedes apreciar el puente 25 de abril y un poco de la ciudad de Lisboa. También podemos apreciar el palacio das necessidades, no permiten la entrada libre, pero, sin embargo, puedes lograr fotografiar la parte del frente que tiene una arquitectura muy linda y conservada.
One of the old homes of the former Portuguese royalty, built in 1751. From that year the kings began to expand and build new buildings on the site. When visiting the place we will see old houses all over the place. At the entrance of the place we will find a small lake full of ducks. You can also find a guide of the quinta and all the places you can go and visit. You have a large green area perfect for picnics and in the corner of the place highlight an old stove.

Uno de los antiguos hogares de la antigua realeza portuguesa, construido en el año 1751. A partir de ese año los reyes comenzaron a expandir y construir nuevos edificios en el lugar. Al momento de visitar el lugar veremos antiguas casas por todo el lugar. En la entrada del lugar nos encontraremos con un pequeño lago lleno de patos. También te puedes encontrar con una guía de la quinta y todos los lugares que puedes recorrer y visitar. Tienes una amplia zona verde perfecta para hacer pícnic y en la esquina del lugar resaltar una antigua estufa.
Above the garden you can see small houses, a fountain and above all the most important point is the viewpoint, you can see perfectly the bridge of the city with a background of trees and different colors. Undoubtedly an important point in case you are looking for a special photograph.

Arriba del jardín puedes observar pequeñas casas, una fuente y sobre todo el punto más importante es el mirador. Puedes apreciar perfectamente el puente de la ciudad con un fondo de árboles y de diferentes colores. Sin duda, un punto importante en caso de que estás en busca de una fotografía especial.
After you leave the viewpoint, you will enter the garden of cactus and succulents. This is a circuit of the area that has only this type of plants around you. You will also find cacti from different parts of the world. Another curious detail of the area is that there are many white hens in the area.

Luego de que sales del mirador, te adentrarás en el jardín de los cactus y suculentas. Se trata de un circuito de la zona que tienes alrededor solo este tipo de plantas. También te encontrarás con cactus de diferentes partes del mundo. Otro detalle curioso de la zona es que abundan muchas gallinas blancas en la zona.
Our last stop was to visit the old royal mill, which is currently not in a good condition, as it was closed with concrete and windows. It has a small staircase where you can climb up and have a small view of the area; however, it was nothing special to remember. Finally, we went around the other side of the cactus park and I found other abandoned houses and a view of the top of the fountain that we saw at the beginning of our tour.

Nuestra última parada fue visitar el antiguo molino de la realeza, que actualmente no se encuentra en unas buenas condiciones, ya que fue cerrada con concreto su puesta y ventanas. Tiene una pequeña escalera donde puedes subir y tener una pequeña vista de la zona; sin embargo, no fue nada especial para recordar. Por último, dimos la vuelta del otro lado del parque de los cactus y me encontré con otras casas abandonadas y una vista de la parte de arriba de la fuente que vimos al principio de nuestro recorrido.
Personally I really enjoyed visiting this place which is very nice and green. In addition, the company of animals gives it a special touch in the air. I think they have areas that still need to be recovered, one of them is the mill. I think that instead of placing concrete, they could have placed wood and aesthetically it would have changed a lot its appearance. Some of the abandoned houses I think they should have a plaque to indicate what they were used for in the past. I also wanted to share with you pictures of the city where this place is located. Its old buildings with Portuguese architecture undoubtedly give a perfect air to the place you are going to.

En lo personal me gustó mucho visitar este lugar que es muy lindo y verde. Además, que la compañía de los animales le da un toque especial en el aire. Pienso que tienen zonas que todavía necesitan recuperarse, una de ellas es el molino. Pienso que deber de colocar concreto, pudieron colocar madera y estéticamente hubiera cambiado mucho su aspecto. Algunas de las casas abandonadas pienso que deberían tener una placa de indicación para saber antiguamente cuál era su uso. También quise compartirles fotos de la ciudad en la que se encuentra este lugar. Sus edificios antiguos con arquitectura portuguesa sin duda le dan un aire perfecto al lugar a que te diriges.
