A frozen lake, that could be seen frozen but is as clear as a crystal, somewhere and at some point of the time. It could take place and so was it!
Julley Everyone!
On our way to Manali Leh Highway crossing the two himalayan ranges and a bunch of Himalayan Passes It brought us here!
Just right behind the peaks that we could see. The peaks of Baralacha La Pass. Lies a lakes named as Suraj Taal. The Lake of the Sun. It is referred as to somewhere where the Chandra River originates and just on the opposite side towards Spiti valley is the Chandra Tal. The Lake of the Moon. There are various mysteries related to these lakes Even there are various UFO Myths.
The folklore that the lakes Suraj Tal and Chadratal relates to the two love birds Chandra which is the daughter of Moons god and The Bhaga the Sun Gods Son and the place Bara Lacha la was the place where the eloped.
There were a lot of mysteries related to this place and it is even referred as the land above heavens.
Not even a single plant or a tree just the dry rocks and a cold desert and instead of sand dunes were covered under a thick blanked of snow.
The road towards the Bara Lacha Pass was just right by the side of the Lake and the lake was just few days back totally melted as it was frozen.
We parked our cars and decided to go closer to the lake and to be honest we were kinda feeling high altitude sickness. So we decided to quickly explore the place and reach at a lower altitude place than this.
The only way to reach by the side of the lake was to cross and make a way out through the rocks.
The shore of the Lake Looked something like this.
It was truly a life long experience guys. Exploring such a mysterious lake at such an astonishing altitude and capturing the true beauty of the place.
So thats all for today guys. I hope you liked it.
Thanks for your precious time.🙏
Love from the Himalayas.❤️
