Julley Everyone!

Even I would have never had a thought about such a dreamy place that would ever existed in this Earth. But the nature has a lot to say and few places still hidden and unknown. Just like the hidden Paradise that I will be sharing with you guys!

The Patsio Glacier Lake.
Deepak Tal
Around 12300ft above the sea level.

Somewhere between the Baralacha Pass and Darcha Village of Lahul and Spiti Himachal Pradesh.*

One of the most beautiful lakes that I have ever seen. With the water as fresh as it could be and as cold as it would be! Right from the Patsio Peak. The colourful flowers, the whites in the sky as clouds and blues and the water of different shades shining like a crystal it seemed like that every colour of the nature had blended at a single sphere of this world.

IMG_5673.jpeg

It was around 2 PM in the afternoon and we were on our expedition exploring the Baralacha La Pass. We did not had any idea that such a magical place was waiting for us! Though there are various hidden lakes at nearly ever such points in the mountain but this one was something unique one.

Few of the people named if Deepak Tal. A hindi word Deepak is related to the Lamp The Lamp which used to be of the mud the ancient one. And Tal in Hindi means a Lake. Patsio is somewhat the name of the peak or the glacier from where the water formed this lake.

IMG_5676.jpeg

The water was literally sparkling like crystals and even the fresh cold breeze was something that I still remember while looking at this photograph that I captured. I decided to do a sort of a Parikrama or be at every different park of the lake and try to experience it in a better was an take photographs so that even you guys could get a clear picture about the same!

IMG_5680.jpeg

At he sides of the lake there were few stones which were seen clear but at the centre part the colour looked like so dark that It would be the deepest point. As there was no water overflow of this lake and the water usually used to seep down.

IMG_5687.jpeg

The natural wild colourful flowers where something which were just gazing and moving just right with the sound of the water and the breeze. The different colours of the nature enhances the beauty of this heavenly paradise!

The Extreme Right

I Tried reaching at the extreme right or just right in front of the lake so that I could see the Peaks of Patsio of which had the lake of the Lake. The view was crystal clear and the wind felt as fresh as it could get. There even is a lake named Chandertal in the Spiti region of Himachal Pradesh and it is said that angles do come near the lake at night as the name of the lake also is Chander Tal. Chandra which means Moon and Tal as mention Lake. The Lake of the Moon. Maybe there would be a lot of stories even related to the Deepak Tal or Patsio Lake that I would try to explore and share with you guys by asking the elderly people from Lahul and Spiti who were were the the decedents of the Explorer of this Place!

IMG_5695.jpeg

During most months of the year this place is usually covered under a thick blanket of snow and is in accessible. The view which could be seen in the place only lasts for few days of the month as told by few people on our way back.

IMG_5697.jpeg

Though the water seemed silent and still but the whole reflection as the peaks and the water being crystal clear was something that was unique about my experience.

Few of the photographs for the right centre of the lake.

I even constructed a wishing stone as the side of the lake and made a wish.

IMG_5735.jpeg

This was the view form the main source of the frozen water of the lake as I tried to reach at this point.

IMG_5738.jpeg

The stream through which the frozen water was being melted and forming the lake.

IMG_5804.jpeg

The point where most of the people made 'Odies' - A local word for the wishing stones in the Himalayan Region.
