A road to the sky! Zing Zing Bar Manali Leh Highway. The hidden paradise of the Himalayas.

A beautiful day out here at this place named as Zing Zing Bar By the BRO Border Road Organisation. Indo Tibetan Border. The Himalayan Cold desert. And a highway to the sky!

It was around 3PM in the afternoon when we were on our expedition to Manali Leh Highway. There were places unknown and unnamed only few of them were named as the himalayan desert during summers is as dry as a sand and in winters its all covered under a thick blanket of snow.

The places that were used to refer to were named as such that 10 kms from zing zing bar or 20 kms from Darcha. It was the most clearest time that we could get to this place and hardly we had to cross any Nalla or River as there used to be a lot of water crossing at this place.

It was so that the other side of the Mountain was facing heavy rains as the monsoons and the opposite side of the Pir Panjal Himalayan Range was dry and is thereby a cold desert. We were between the last Himalayan Range the Zanskar range and the road was to the Zanskar Range.

With few of the worlds most iconic and unique views that anyone could see. A road to such a harsh climatic place. that the road was built literally through the solid rocks. As per the geography there are places that are like kinda of above the non tropical zone where no trees or vegetation grows. As When I used to go hiking I used to experience that at a certain point the vegetation stops and even the soil is seen less and morely there are hard rocks. The loose ones.

Over here the whole condition was like that. Even there was no soil at all and we were above more than 15000ft above the sea level. As such high altitude places even people suffer with altitude sickness and may even risk their lives.

Far away the only thing that we could see were the peaks of Pir Panjal. From where we had came all the way up here. It is quite an interesting thing that how with the help of the roads were are able to travel so far and even at such an breath taking altitude. Where even life is nearly impossible.

The huge mountains of rocks and stones no where we could see the soil except the tiny bits of dry rocks.

It was just the roads and the mountains all dry and few of the portion even covered up with the snow and the clouds right above us.
