On the highway to Mysrore from Bangalore, you will find the Hotel at Nice Road junction.
A beautiful entrance spacious and enough space for parking your four wheelers.
It was a Weekday and I was travelling to Mysore to meet a friend. Started early in the morning and Bangalore offered me enough traffic to cross. I was hungry and choose the hotel Kadamba on the highway for breakfast.
The hotel had an excellent ambience and space to walk around and enough place for seating.
My normal breakfast is Idlis and Dose, specially Masala Dose. But here wanted to try what they served best.
I asked the waiter for the best breakfast they served. He had a bunch of menu items on his tongue tip and Dose was one among them 😁
To try a different one I choose Rava (Rave or broken wheat) Idli and Rava Dose.
Here is how the Rava items I Ordered look like,
Rava Idli
One more of it, showing the beauty of taste with dry fruits
The Rava idli itself is a form of stuffed idli with some greens, cilantro and grated carrots. To add more taste they had added cashews which were boiled and steamed.
The Rava (Broken wheat) is soaked in curd for some time. The paste is mixed with veggies and greens. The dry fruits are of various choices, and best one is always cashews and dry grapes.
The paste is steamed and fluffy idlies are ready by 15 min 😊😊😊
The idlies prepared at the hotel kadamba were so good and tasty. Every bite the smooth and soft breaks were special. The granules of rava just broke into pieces with out much effort. On a whole it was a great experience.
The Rava idlies are served with Green and Red chutney (Paste)
The green is of coconut green chilies and cilantro and the red is of tomato red chilies and cilantro 😊
Rava Dose
The same rava is made to prepare a batter with broken pepper and green chili slices.
It is cooked on big pan and is served with Green Coconut Chutney.
The small white chunk is butter, which will melt to the heat of hot Dose.
The Dose was crispy and tasty too😊
And I finished my breakfast with a cup of tea,
The milk tea which is served in India.
Thick milk tea was an awesome refresher.Even now, I'm having tea while I write the review 🤭
Few other things I liked are the water jug served with mint leaves
And the inner space
