This weekend, together with a dear friend of mine, I visited the Varone waterfall, a truly suggestive place and, from my point of view, unique, just a short distance from Riva del Garda.

Just think that this waterfall was already a super attraction back in the nineteenth century when it was practically discovered and carved out of the time of the Magnone stream. We are in Trentino Alto Adige, a land of high mountains and many streams that were very important for the paper mills in the area.

Just think that this waterfall has a drop of 98 metres and it is the groundwater coming from the spectacular Lake Tenno, which I will most probably visit next weekend, and I will definitely do an article about it.

Here I am in the photo at the discovery of this waterfall and this series of tunnels that enter inside the mountain when you return they also give you an anorak to protect you a little from the water but I, who am a daredevil, declined the invitation to bring it.

The other special feature of this series of waterfalls, because in reality there are more than one, is the fact that they have put up these coloured lights to make this visit even more exciting.

Una curiosità che probabilmente tante persone non conoscono e il fatto che Thomas Mann l'autore del libro "La montagna incantata" ha scritto questo libro perché è rimasto colpito da questa cascata durante la sua vacanza sul Lago di Garda.

Some useful information for a possible visit here is the fact that the waterfalls are always open from January to December except on holidays such as Christmas, the price to visit is €6 except for students who can visit for only €3.

another piece of advice, given that I visited in spring, is to come in the summertime if possible, because it is really nice and cool here.
