Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are healthy and happy!!!

Today’s blog is going to be about my evening walk to Garh. The literal meaning of Garh is a castle. There used to be a castle here until 19th century before it got destroyed by the forces of nature.

I started around 6:30 PM in the evening until it got really dark. I walked a total of 7-8 kms around this region.

I was not going anywhere specifically but was randomly roaming around. This approach of mine automatically took me to some amazing spots.

Garh was considered ideal for making a castle because it’s situated on a tabletop in between the valley so 360 degree view is visible from this place.

Also, it’s in between rivers from three sides that makes it safe too. The photo below shows the edge of the tabletop and a 300 ft cliff with Baragran river also visible.

The setting sun made the sky look dramatic. It was full of reddish hues and the cloudy weather added to that vibe.

As the castle is destroyed nowadays, people have turned this place into apple orchards. In the photo below, you can see the harvested apples in crates.

The narrow road that leads to the end of the Garh -

As there are apple orchards on both sides, the road here is quite narrow as you can see in the photos below. It just looks amazing and in peak summertime, the bushes on both sides of the road combine to make a tunnel like structure.

The road is just enough for a pickup truck to pass on which the locals will load the harvested apples.

The sunset point and broken Firetower-

After crossing that narrow road, I reached the sunset point where people form nearby Patlikuhal town come to enjoy the beauty of sunsets and sunrises. Whole Patlikuhal town can be seen from here!

There also used to be a fire lookout tower here that you can see in the photo below. As already mentioned, this place is ideal for 360 degree views, that’s why there was a Firetower here that also got destroyed just like the castle.

Nothing can last against the time. Nature slowly but surely reclaims everything within itself!!!

Some long exposure photos-

As it was getting darker, I got perfect opportunity to capture some stunning long exposure photos.

This photo shows the Patlikuhal town and Baragran river flowing in its full glory with crescent moon rising from south east.

As I walked towards my home, the weather started clearing out and starts were shining too. Seeing those magnificent views made my evening walk a memorable experience.

That’s all for today!!!

Thanks for your time.
