I wrote out an actual post, but I can't seem to get pics uploaded. Been trying for over an hour, and it's past my bedtime (okay just kidding, I don't have a bedtime...someone please force me to go to sleep by 11).

So, I realized that luckily for me, it's Monday and that means that I can do a food photography post for @juliank ! Yay for excuses to NOT keep dealing with first world technology problems late at night.

This is basically just grilled sticky rice with red stuff. Haha so informative, right? I don't know what the red stuff is. The lady that I bought it from at the Chiang Mai flower festival didn't really speak English.

And the sign is in Thai...which means I have an impossible time trying to google it. At least here in Indonesia if I don't know something, I can read the sign enough to google it.

Anyway, if you ever see mystery rice on a stick, you should just yolo and eat it! It was yum on a stick.

Even more than this though, can I just say I'm kind of obsessed with mango sticky rice?! I've been thinking about it ever since leaving Thailand a month and a half ago.

Some people say they miss food from home when they travel.

But for me, that actually never happens at all.

I am SO busy trying and enjoying new foods, that I can't even be bothered thinking about food at home.

And then, I end up craving foods from different countries. But then I can't satisfy those cravings ever because I'm always somewhere else, haha. Like, I've been craving Gallo Pinto (a Nicaraguan breakfast) off and on for 8 years now!!

Will my brain ever just freaking let the Gallo Pinto go?!? Move on already. Foods breakups are the toughest for me to deal with apparently, haha.

Do you have any food that you get addicted to but can't have because it's somewhere else? What food are you currently obsessed with?
