In these days I'm visiting my beloved Tuscany, this region as many others regions in Italy have a lot to offers, from natural landscapes and adventure to art, architecture, culture and history. I visited Villa Medicea della Petraia it was a building of the famous Medici family, if you don't know about this family you must watch the TV series The medici or read the many books about them, the building it's part of the heritage UNESCO and it's one of the most beautiful buildings of this ancient family. It's not far from Florence and was builded for the noble families rest in the beautiful Tuscanian hills, they use the place for have a rest from the chaos of the city.

The building is close to the monte morello and have a wonderful view on Florence city.

The building have a beautiful romantic park in the north area in the sud area a beautiful formal garden renowned in the 500.

In the first floor there is a courtyard with logfe, with frescoes by Daddi and others from Volterra. In the eighteenth century the villa passed to the Lorraines because the Medici dynasty had collapsed, they made further changes and embellishments to the villa, adding bronzes, other frescoes and making the decorations of the villa even more sumptuous. Today the villa can be visited by reservation it took a while to see it but it was worth it even if not all floors can be visited, too bad. In good weather it is nice to walk through the large, well-kept park full of flowers. A little Tuscan treasure.
