I show you another wonderful place that I visited in my trip in the Tuscanian area around Pisa, this area have a lot of nice place to visit not only medieval little cities but also natural parks with crazy gaysers and many places for eat.

It's situated close to the Fiume cornia this wonder little caste that I show to you.

It is situated in the province of Volterra, another wonderful city you must visit close to Pisa, I visited it before you can check on my profile wall here on travel feed.

The castle is named Sasso, because it's situated on a rock, the castle was builded in 1058 and was for long a cause of dispute between Florence and Pisa and great cause of contention because the area near the castle was rich in alum and it was a highly sought-after material to be used as a fixative for clothes and the Florentines had an absolute need to access the quarry to save money and not have to wait for arrival of alum from China.

Around Sasso there was many caves, the area is rich of caves.

The village is all around the castle, from it you can immediately see the main square and church of the village, is still an old village with no many habitants but it's very charm and easy to visit because it's little.

In two hours you can visit all the village, it's really a relaxing place I truly enjoyed my visit here, was a nice walk and it's nice because it's in the middle of nature too as you can see it's situated on the top of an hill surrounded by green trees.
