Little walk in Montecatini Terme.

Little walk in Montecatini Terme.

January 2024 · 2 min read · Montecatini Terme

A few days ago for a medical visit I went to the nearby town of Montecatini by train from Pistoia, about an hour's journey between buses and trains, luckily my visit was in a doctor's office not far from the station and therefore I had no difficulties in finding the place, but to be safe I arrived earlier and for this reason I took the opportunity to take a trip to this quiet town.

As soon as I got off the train I started wandering around the station, noticing a monument similar to a column and an unfortunately empty fountain which must have been very beautiful. Montecatini is a city famous for its thermal springs and for the gold trade, betting and also unfortunately for prostitution. But obviously during the day you can't see the prostitutes but you can see the long streets with palm trees which make it similar to a seaside town, furthermore there are many luxury shops including one selling cars which I was enchanted by looking at, really beautiful cars!

Walking around the city I also noticed many hotels, unfortunately disused but still beautiful and some really fascinating and colorful old buildings, dating back to the early twentieth century, it is a real shame that the hotels are empty, this city is quiet, spacious, equipped with everything and with two nice stations connected to other Tuscan cities.

It's a nice place and I really had a nice walk there.
