Holy heart church/ Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón.

Today I went for a short walk in the town of Montemurlo where my husband had to go to a medical examination, while I was waiting for him outside I immediately noticed a splendid church with a bell tower that stood out over the square near the car park and I decided to visit it. The church is one of the largest in the city and a lady I met there told me that she was also one of the oldest, the lady herself told me that she had been going there since her childhood and that she has many good memories of that church. The facade remains impressed because above the door there is an enormous statue of Jesus Christ giving his blessing, as you look up you can already feel a certain sacredness.

Hoy he dado un pequeño paseo por el pueblo de Montemurlo donde mi marido tenía que pasar por un reconocimiento médico, mientras le esperaba fuera me fijé enseguida en una espléndida iglesia con un campanario que destacaba sobre la plaza cercana al aparcamiento. y decidí visitarlo. La iglesia es una de las más grandes de la ciudad y una señora que conocí allí me dijo que también era una de las más antiguas, la propia señora me dijo que iba allí desde pequeña y que tiene muy buenos recuerdos de esa iglesia. La fachada queda impresionada porque encima de la puerta hay una enorme estatua de Jesucristo dando su bendición, al mirar hacia arriba ya se puede sentir un cierto carácter sagrado.

Having time available, I entered and was immediately struck by the long nave full of chairs that led to a quite impressive altar. As soon as you enter you immediately notice that on the sides of the nave there are various citcular niches with frescoed ceilings and containing statues of saints and Madonnas, even above the altar there is a frescoed dome of notable beauty. Each niche has a different fresco and various candle holders, today the church was not very illuminated but I think it is beautiful in the evening illuminated with all the candles, like many Tuscan churches this one also has medieval origins, it was the small church initially of a small parish . I took various photos because I found this church really beautiful and spacious even if simpler and less rich or particular than other churches I have visited. Teniendo tiempo disponible, entré y de inmediato me llamó la atención la larga nave llena de sillas que conducía a un altar bastante impresionante. Nada más entrar se nota inmediatamente que a los lados de la nave hay varios nichos circulares con techos con frescos y que contienen estatuas de santos y vírgenes, incluso encima del altar hay una cúpula con frescos de notable belleza. Cada nicho tiene un fresco diferente y varios candelabros, hoy la iglesia no estaba muy iluminada pero creo que es hermosa por la noche iluminada con todas las velas, como muchas iglesias toscanas esta también tiene orígenes medievales, inicialmente era la iglesia pequeña de una pequeña parroquia. Tomé varias fotos porque encontré esta iglesia realmente hermosa y espaciosa, aunque más simple y menos rica o particular que otras iglesias que he visitado.
