From where to where?? Yes Flinders Ranges National Park to Glendambo, a pub in the middle of the Outback (aka nowhere) via multiple stops... What a good day of travelling and snap shots, let me get right to it for you!

Kanyaka Homestead

First stop, Kanyaka Homestead! We had a quick stop-off at Kanyaka Homestead ruins where a farm outlet that herded around 40,000 sheep existed in the 19th century. It's just ruins now but it used be a thriving village with many families living there.

Port Augusta Lunch Stop

Stopping for lunch at Port Augusta - we're strangely enough on thr coast as the ocean cuts all the up to this bit of land. Will enjoy that sea air one last time before we head all the way inland.

Woomera Military Base

And out in the middle of nowhere is Woomera Military Base where Australia just secured a contract from America for them to test their weapons out here starting in 2021.

On display near the museum are various planes, missiles and weapons that have been used in years gone by.

We only had a short stop off here to stretch the legs. Pretty eery place and doesn't seem like there was too much happening, although it's starting to become more populated again since it was last used as a testing ground.

Lake Harte (Salt Lake)

A stop off at this giant salt lake called Harte Lake before getting to our place of rest this evening.

There was a little bit of water in between the cracks but it was basically a giant pool of salt! The low sun giving a pretty cool effect on the shadows of people and we had to be directed by our tour guide to get one of those "perspective pictures" where it looked like we were being held up by the person at the front. Hope to get that picture later.

The lake itself is a bed of salt that used to be the inland ocean here but over time has dried up. From what I remember there is an underground water bed near by that this salt sits on top of (and why it's not totally baron nearby as there is still some greenery around that draws water up through the ground). Pelicans migrate to these salt lakes to raise their young and feed on Seahorses with the knowledge that there's no predators nearby.

Hope these pictures loaded properly, Internet is pretty terrible out here!
