Growing up and living most of my life in the built up suburbs, must have made it that when ever I see a big expanse of water, it makes me feel like I am on holidays. The first glimpse of the water, as I drive over the last hill always makes me smile. The road down the Wynnum Manly foreshore does that to me every time.It is only about 20 kilometres east of Brisbane Central Business District right on the foreshore of Moreton Bay. I first started visiting this place because of free running groups that had started popping up on my Facebook feed from friends, I had made at parkruns. Not only had we meet and run at parkrun but we would then meet up on Sundays as well and do other longer runs. The Wynnum manly area was perfect flat, fast and a nice path along the waters edge.Manley Boat HarbourLooking up Carlton Terrace the main shopping area in Manly. They have regular Sundays art and craft markets. The break wall out into the Bay to protect all the expensive boats. It was a long way out and there were lots more boat than I thought. The tide was out as we left Manly and headed to Wynnum.Wynnum has a big wadding pool it is not that deep only about one metre but perfect for children or just cool off after a long run.The Wynnum Jetty There are quite a lot of mud flats around Brisbane, Any with some sand are a lot more a peelingThat's all for now thanks for reading.
