We have stayed at this small sea side town a few time now as it is ideally situated roughly half way between our place and other relatives we regularly visit. We are getting to board of driving straight through so we break the trip into two easier days. It is always been a good spot of a swim and a run after a long drive. I snapped this photo with an old piece of the jetty with the headland in the back ground on my morning run before we left.

The waves were pretty messy on one side of the headland but a bit clear on the other side protected from the wind.

In the evening we walked to Woolgoolga creek and Lake and we amazed to the this old ship wreck. Apparently it has only been uncovered again in the past few years years. I thought it was a Viking ship but it was only a 128 year old, 39 metre build in Canada sailing ship called ”Buster”. It busted its anchor chain in a storm while at the old Woolgoolga jetty carrying a load of timber to New Zealand way back in the 1890s.
