What a fantastic Welcome to Wellington at the airport, Gandalf the grey on the eagle Windlord from the lord of the rings movies. Wellington was just an add on to our short New Zealand trip but was definitely one of the highlights.Hataitai bus tunnel, A public bus ride between the airport and Central Business District was like A theme park ride but way cheaper.Wellington Civic Square artSo that's how they do it. Impressive as it must have some weight to it.Wellington is a very impressive place full of sculptures, art and pretty clean.We stayed on Willis StreetThe trendy and hippy Cuba street Mall.I really enjoyed the Wellington water front I ran along it every morning.Colourful Boat Sheds.Oriental Bay.The Beach Babylon Café for Lunch.Wellington city from the top of Mount Victoria. Museum of New Zealand.They had some cool Maori Culture displays that were interesting to learn about.Lot of other interesting and unique displays as well.Even just the view from the Museum was great.The Beehive New Zealand Parliament buildings.One of our days visiting any new place is usually a decent hike. There is plenty of good walking in Wellington.
