Is one of 4 parkruns in the Ipswich council area about 30 minutes west of Brisbane central Business District. It is probably the hardest of the 4 and probably amongst the hardest in South East Queensland. I class it as hard as the start and finish on this out and back trail course is pretty technical and I had to watch my footing. After the start finish section the rest is not too bad on a pea gravel six foot wide fire access trail through there is also a decent but gradual hill to deal with which will collect you about 110 metres of elevation gain during this 5 kilometre workout. The average finish time is 39.01. It is only a small parkrun even through it is close to many housing estates apparently any sort of a hill in a parkrun course seems to keep the numbers right down. We really like this quiet and challenging parkrun and have done it twice with hopefully plenty more visits to come.
The run briefing.
The course is very well marked out.
We had a quick drink and refuel as there is some other nice trails to explore and of course visit the actual white rock in the middle of the conservation area.
A young gonna about the climb a tree either to gat away from us or hunt for a birds nest and eggs.
It can get quite warm and dry in the Australian bush always take some water.
Finally the white Rock after a busy morning of exercise.
