Boardwalk from Hastings Street to Noosa National Park main entry
Boardwalk from Hastings Street to Noosa National Park main entry

The Boardwalk has had a major upgrade since I was there last and seeing shells in the tree added to the holiday feel.

On this trip we only covered a very small section of the park. We did a short, 1km walk around Boiling Point to Tea Tree Bay.

There’s so much more to do and see on future trips.

The Kabi Kabi people are the traditional custodians of the area. The name Noosa means shadows or shade.

Apart from Melaleucas (Tea trees) at this beach, as seen on the right in the photo above, there were also several Pandanus trees (centre of photo).

The small pools of water that formed around the rocks at the water’s edge were lovely.

This was one of the temporary art installations. We were facing north at this point, so you can see distant views of the Cooloola Sand Dunes in The Great Sandy National Park.

We were headed for this beach for a swim (that’s Caroline in the mid ground) but we had to climb over lots of rocks to get there. We didn’t mind at all :)

I love watching the clean clear waves peel off and wrap around the headland even if the swell is small. As far as I'm concerned, any beach holiday is a good holiday.
