This is my second time to Stones Corner parkrun. The first time was years ago and It has been closed for the longest time while Council was doing a lot of park upgrades. I have been keen to checkout all the improvements for a while and today was the day.

The course is situated close to the middle of Brisbane right on Norman Creek, which is great but this being a pretty build up area. Brisbane is in a sub tropical climate means when it rains heavy, which it does a fair bit in our summer, the creek floods big time and this park run is usually one of the first to cancel. This is what brought it back to my attention as I heard from other running last week that it had cancelled again.  So after a quick check of the weather I was on my way.

It was a hot and humid and we got some light drizzly rain which was a refreshing.
