On the way to Rocky Cape with Stanley Nut in the back ground, North west coast of Tasmania.Just love these quite back country roads.A few houses situated near a protected bay within the national park. They must have been built before it was classed as national park.Will the hire car made it down there? All the grave roads had been really well graded so far.I really like all this strong rugged country side.There is a coastal path to hike but not for us today.Saying goodbye to Rocky Cape national Park and on to Stanley.The main street of Stanley with the Nut State Reserve in the backgroundWe needed to refuel as it was a bit of a drive from Penguin. The quality and variety of meals available these days even in small country towns is amazing. This was vegetarian mushroom balls.The back of an Anzac Statue and the pub.A church turned into a Museum.Interesting garden feature.We love a short hike and a lookout!
There is a chair lift to the top but we were looking forward to the challenging 180 metres of elevation gain.
