We visited St Lucia back on 23/02/2019 it was Caroline's 50th different parkrun and my 20th, she got to celebrate her milestone with a graduation outfit as St Lucia is also home to a major University in Brisbane. They have a good set up for celebrating milestones. You get to dress up like your graduating. They even have a mortar board cap and a stole, which is the official name for the red thing you put over your shoulders at a graduation ceremony. It is crazy I didn't even know the names of these things, I suppose it is understandable as I never went to University. I don't really like telling the event teams when I hit a milestone. I prefer to keep things quite and be fly the radar. 171 runners and walkers for there event 49St Lucia is a busy little place with so much happening around the Uni, I rode my triathlon push bike around here trying to build up some long rides. Coffee and breakfast was within walking distance and we squeezed onto a tablet that was having an online meet up with the coach.It was a nice flat double out and back course along the Brisbane river but I am not a fan of the loose gravel path, I reckon you have to work a lot harder than concrete or grass.Orienteering Qld took over the vollie roster. I only ever did orienteering once on a school camp, I would love to try it again one day.My official time the was 23:25.
