This place was perfect for us to stay and surprising affordable. So back in 2023 we were on a bit of an South East Asia loop Holiday and we had already been to Singapore and Chiang Mia in Thailand. Now we were on the way back home via Malaysia’s Capital City ”Kuala Lumpur”. We were only there over 3 or 4 days and wanted some where to stay in Putrajaya because it was close to the one and only parkrun in this amazing country.
This place was perfect for us to stay and surprising affordable. We were only there over 3 or 4 days and wanted some where to stay in Putrajaya because it was close to the one and only parkrun in this amazing country. 

It was located roughly half way between the international airport and centre of town so we would still be able to have a good look around with our limited time.

It was the Deepavali holiday long weekend as well so there was decorations everywhere.

Kuala Lumpur is a big place it was still another 30 minute taxi ride into the middle of town.

The Shaftsberry Complex was big as well. Basically a residential tower, a hotel tower, a huge swimming pool between and a shopping mall under neath. There was even a covered walk way and escalator system to another shopping centre across the road.

We had only just been to Singapore and seen the rain vortex at Changi Airport. Now this place had it’s own Sky Funnel not quite as big as the one at Singapore’s airport but still very impressive.

At the top of every hour in the evenings it would come to life, water would flow and it would change through a kaleidoscope of different colours.
