Samford Village is about twenty kilometres north west of Brisbane central business district. It is amazing this place still has a real country feel and has not been over run with big city development. The real estate must be worth a small fortune with lots of big blocks and farm looking properties as you drive in. I suppose it is the fact that it is located in a valley surround by the D’Aguilar National Park that has helped in not to be cover run by the ever growing International city just a short way down the road. It was only just the other day I heard of another estate being built in Brisbane for another eight thousand homes. Luckily for Samford its no where near here.

They have kept a lot of the old building from the early days in a park nest to the main shopping strip.

There was plenty of trendy coffee shops to choose from.

The museum was closed but I was able to get a few photos from outside that give you the general idea and saved me a couple of dollars.

I love they were able to save the old school and train station.

My favourite part was the Owlery Café and Tea House with all the Harry Potter stuff. We had some breakfast and coffee after doing a parkrun with some friends at this wonderful location, which I had never heard about even after living in Brisbane for twenty five plus years. Not only was the food and coffee good but they had parking for your broomstick, a Store of requirements and The Weasleys old car in one of the garden beds.
