A glorious Queensland winter morning, These sort of days are why this area is so popular to live. We had some big plans for this particular weekend, a couple of months back. We were going camping for a long weekend away but there was a nasty weather front passing through on the Friday and Saturday. It was hard to believe by these photos but it past through quicky. So instead of camping in the rain over the entire weekend, we decide to meet a friend for a walk along the Redcliffe waterfront and checkout Sunday markets. We meet our friend and parked our car at the Margate play ground area, We know this place well as we have run the Redcliffe parkrun event a few times but that is on Saturdays, We had never been here before on a Sunday morning. An Australian Brush Turkey getting a drink.Suttons Beach is home to The Redcliffe Peninsula Surf Life Saving Club. They do not many waves as it is part of Moreton Bay but is still very popular for swimming. I have swum there before after running at parkrun. Settlement Cove a free public swimming and wading pool. The Bay was looking very clean, flat and glassy. The Redcliffe Jetty. It was still pretty early and there were not too many people out.It is interesting to see how much the coast line changes over the years.Rotary Park and Anzac place. Finally what we had really come for. The street markets which are held each Sunday, They stop traffic along Redcliffe Parade Road for the iconic seaside marketplace which has something for everyone.
