We were in Queenstown early this year but that was a summer hiking trip. I wanted to make sure I have my winter snow boarding trip on my Pinmapple map blog as well. It was a while back in 2012 when we had organised a snow boarding trip with another one of our neighbours.

I had skied here with some work mates when I was younger. So it was sort of a full circle feeling getting to bring my son here years later. The main difference is he wanted to snow board none of that old school skiing stuff I had made him learn previously.

We started on the beginner slopes and it did not take that long to get the hang of it and we could move up to the top of the Coronet Peak slopes.

We found our neighbours every day on the mountain and had a lot of fun.

We got some really good weather and the crowds were not that bad being school holidays

We were enjoying it all so much that the boys wanted to stay for the night session as well.

So after some dinner and the snow groomers returned we were back at it.

It was school holidays so my son could stay up and Queenstown seemed to have everything open late.
