Queanbeyan is our third parkrun Q event, I am not sure why we are really chasing it, as we have not even finished our second alphabet yet. It was more a case of looking at the parkrun event map from our accommodation for this weekend away and see what was in the local area. We were spoilt for choice more than ten we had not done. Without checking event numbers we just decided on one of the rarest letters of the alphabet which is the most popular challenge. There was plenty of car parking and toilets at the Morisset street bus interchange. Including a caravan park if you needed one.

The course is a double out and back on a concrete path along side the Queanbeyan. River. I thought the river might be a lot higher being spring and having the Australian alps only a couple of hours up the road.

A couple were free camping when one hundred odd runners and walkers showed up and the were wondering what the hell was going on.

I thought it was going to be a nice easy flat run along a river, but they have a decent hill which added up to ninety metres of elevation gain.

We had a good coffee and breakfast afterwards with the run director and some of the volunteers at the old Mill House Cafe.
