We had to get up early to visit Ocean View parkrun which is held you guessed it at the Ocean View Estates Winery. Funny thing was there was no ocean view, I had a good look around, nothing except greenery. The locals reckon there is a view of the water near by, but just not at the winery.

It was such a small crowd I was a bit worried I could get lost, the course description had multiple loops and even up and down row of grape growing on the vines. The recommended carrying a stick if you think you could be leading. I through they where joking but the stick was for all the spider webs that get made between the vines.

I was happy just to sit back and cruise the first bit.

As we started to head out the back of the winery, I got a bit more confident to push a little hard as there was only really one path to follow.

I was trying to run as fast as I could down hill but did a bit of walking on the up hills to recover.

So it took me 219 parkruns before I finally won one. To be fair it not really a race parkrun just likes to call you the first finisher as everyone at parkrun doing some exercise is a winner.

It weas a bit of a surprise that 27 and half minutes got me the number one token. There was about 90 metre of elevation gain which for me is usually 2 minutes slower than on a flat course.

We had breakfast afterwards at the winery cafe it was pretty good but we have hear it does not open early enough any more.
