North Harbour is a beautiful, quiet, small parkrun located midway between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast on, as you might have guessed, farmland being developed into a new housing estate. It runs alongside the Caboolture River and is most definitely a cross country course or a paddock run. If you want to see cows, you certainly will, and where there are cows there is cow poo and you'll spend much of your parkrun watching where you put your feet.   It makes it a fun challenge different from what you'll find in most places, that is for sure! In all other ways, this course is great. With only 27 people in total when we were there back in 2019, we had a good old shot at finishing near the front. And we did, it was the first time we’ve ever finished first male AND first female as a couple at the same parkrun.

We could not wait for the sun to rise on a cold winters morning.

If it was not for the worn path along the river it would have been hard to find the way but the path made it easy to find the turn around point.

It looks like they get a few more people nowadays but it could also just be the warmer weather. I bike lead cyclist would be very handy on this course, I wonder if that is what number 22 is doing. Photo credit to a more recent parkrun volunteer photographer.

Just under 22 minutes, got me first finisher, I do not think I could do that today.
