Narromine was my 60th different event. It was our second parkrun in two days because this Saturday back in early 2021 was straight after the New Years Day special event. We were at Dubbo the day before and luckily Narromine was only about 10 kilometres away, were we able to just use the same accommodation and just stay an extra night. The smaller country parkruns always feel very friendly everyone is happy for a chat to know where you're from and what you're doing.first timer and run brief.Narromine had a delayed start after covid restrictions lifted. I remember having to use the checking in app so they could track the spread of covid if anyone got sick. They were weird times, it felt like an invasion of privacy but we generally followed the rules because of work commitments. It interesting to look back at a few of these photos, back then I was in big soft hoka shoes with heel raise going for maximum cushioning and comfort. Now I have been trying to strengthen my feet with zero drop and less of a stack height. 52 people ran, jogged and walked the course, 5 of us were first timers. We did a bit of a walk and explore after the run An out and back lap on a gravel trail along the eastern side of the wetlands area. My old strava map does not show the lake in the middle and some bushland at the southern end. I will take under 25 minutes while on holidays and on a pea gravel course.
