We started and finished our 4 kilometre walk from Mogareeka, where the Bega River flows into the ocean. Moon Bay was a little hard to get too but sometimes that makes it all the more worthwhile. We tried to let google maps take us as close as possible, but that dirt road had a big, closed sign up. In my younger days I might have been tempted to drive past anyway but now we try to do the right thing even though they seem to close things for the smallest reasons and or even just forget to take the signs down some times. Luckily @conscioucscat spotted another possible way on the map.

We saw lots of wildlife along the way which is another good thing when places are a little harder to get to. Less humans to scare all the locals away.

When we first arrived at Moon Bay, we heard a noise and saw a couple of big birds of prey flying away. After a bit of a walk around we found what looked like a seagull they might have been feeding on.

We had the beach to ourselves while we were there, but it looks like it gets well frequented at different times.

This bay was named after some local legend called Caroline Moon, I thought it might just be something about how the moon light hit the Bay in some sort of magical way.
