Minnippi parkrun is another of my locals I have run here 15 times. I really like it because it is fast and flat and has no dead turns with two laps around the lake. The lake does not really have a name but some wetlands that is part of the Bulimba creek. It floods sometimes and they have to switch to course B occasionally in our wet season.

They get a good crowd every time I have visited. About 250 people, there are public toilets and a coffee van at the start finish area.

The bike path goes a lot further than just the parkrun course if you want to do some extra mileage.

The creek is popular with canoeist as well, but has never really looked that inviting to me too much urban run off and weeds, though I have heard there are some nice spots before it connects to Brisbane river.

Summer can get hot and humid but there is a water tap at a couple of points on the course.

Looks like some of locals had been playing up and stealing peoples garden gnomes and hiding them in the Minnippi parklands. I thinks they must have made there way home as I have not seen there since.
